JUPITER IN LEO 2026–2027: The First Chapter of a 13-Month Story

This is the transcript of my YouTube Video shown linked above.

The last time Jupiter was in Leo, something shifted for you. You may not have called it that. You may not have had the astrological language for it. But between the summer of 2014 and the summer of 2015, something in your life expanded — or demanded to expand — in the territory of creative self-expression, visibility, and the courage to be fully seen. Jupiter returns to Leo on June 30th, 2026. And it will not leave until July 26th, 2027. Thirteen months. But not thirteen quiet months. Not thirteen months of simple, benevolent Jupiterian expansion where things just get bigger and better and easier. This Jupiter in Leo is carrying a weight that the 2014 transit did not carry. It is arriving at the center of the most significant astrological configuration of the century. It is forming aspects that will push, pressure, illuminate, and ultimately transform — collectively and personally — in ways that will take years to fully understand.

What I want to give you today is the first chapter of this story. The opening movement. The blaze of summer 2026, when Jupiter in Leo is at its most powerful, its most visible, and its most demanding. Because what happens between June 30th and mid-August is the foundation on which the entire 13-month transit is built. Understanding it now — before it arrives — is the difference between being swept up in it and moving through it with intention.

What Jupiter In Leo Actually Means

Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system, and in astrology it carries that magnitude. It is the planet of expansion, abundance, wisdom, opportunity, and growth. Wherever Jupiter travels, it amplifies. It opens doors. It invites more — more experience, more understanding, more of whatever the sign it occupies is asking for. Leo is the sign of the self at its most radiant. It is ruled by the Sun — the center of our solar system, the source of all light and life. Leo rules creative self-expression, authentic visibility, leadership, the heart, joy, and the particular kind of courage it takes to stand in the center of your own life and say: this is who I am.

Jupiter in Leo, at its most essential, is an expansion of that energy at the collective level. It is a 13-month window where the universe is asking — individually and collectively — what it truly means to shine. Not to perform. Not to curate. Not to present a version of yourself that has been carefully managed for palatability. To actually, authentically, courageously shine. This is a creative renaissance in the making. The arts, self-expression, personal leadership, the visibility of individual voice — all of these are expanding under Jupiter in Leo. But Jupiter does not just hand you expansion. It asks you to be willing to be seen in order to receive it.

The question Jupiter in Leo is asking for the next 13 months is not 'what do you want?' It is 'are you willing to be seen wanting it?'

And because Jupiter in Leo sits in direct opposition to Pluto in Aquarius — the sign of collective systems, technology, and the future — there is a deeper collective tension running beneath all of this creative expansion. The individual flame meeting the collective machine. The authentic self meeting the inherited system. That opposition is the container of everything happening this summer, and we will get into it in depth.

The Balbault's Basket Connection

If you have watched my video on Barbault's Basket — the most significant astrological configuration of the century — then you already know that Jupiter in Leo is not entering the sky quietly. It is entering as the final piece of an extraordinary four-planet alignment that the great French astrologer André Barbault identified decades ago as a splendid relaunch of civilization.

Jupiter in Leo completes the Basket. It forms the opposition to Pluto in Aquarius that holds the entire configuration open. And simultaneously, it forms a trine to Neptune in Aries and a sextile to Uranus in Gemini — both of those aspects becoming exact within 24 hours of each other on July 20th and 21st. This means that the peak of Jupiter in Leo's power — the moment when it is most fully integrated into the Basket's harmonic — is happening right in the heart of summer 2026. Around July 20th, all four outer planets are aligned in their most precise geometric relationship, with Jupiter in Leo at the apex.

If you have not yet watched the Barbault's Basket video, the link is in the description. Understanding that configuration gives you the full picture of why Jupiter in Leo carries a weight that goes far beyond a typical Jupiter transit. What I want you to hold is this: Jupiter in Leo is not just a sign transit. It is the activation of a century-level harmonic. What it expands, what it illuminates, what it demands of us in the territory of authentic self-expression — it is doing so in the context of a civilizational relaunch. The stakes are genuinely that large.

The T-square: Jupiter, Pluto, And Chiron

Within the beauty of the Basket, there is a specific configuration that requires its own honest conversation. Between June 30th and August 15th, Jupiter in Leo forms a T-square with Pluto in Aquarius and Chiron in Taurus. The opposition between Jupiter and Pluto is exact on July 20th — the same day Jupiter trines Neptune. These two aspects hitting simultaneously is significant: extraordinary creative and spiritual expansion happening at the exact same moment as a confrontation with deep collective and personal power structures. The expansion and the reckoning are not separate events. They are the same event, experienced from different angles.

Jupiter in Leo Opposing Pluto in Aquarius

Jupiter expanding outward in Leo. Pluto transforming from within in Aquarius. These two planets in opposition create a tension between the individual self seeking visibility and the collective system that has a vested interest in controlling what gets to be visible and what does not. This opposition, running from June 30th through August 15th, is asking: whose definition of success are you working from? Whose permission are you waiting for? And what happens when you stop waiting?

At the collective level, this opposition is one of the driving forces behind the unseating of power structures and world leaders that we are likely to see toward the end of 2026 and into 2027. Jupiter in Leo does not tolerate false leadership. Pluto in Aquarius dismantles systems that no longer serve the collective. Together in opposition, they force a reckoning with who holds power and whether they deserve it.

Chiron in Taurus — The Wound in the Configuration

Chiron is the wounded healer of astrology. In Taurus — the sign of self-worth, money, values, the body, and material security — Chiron has been exposing a collective wound around value. What we believe we are worth. What we believe we deserve. The ways our relationship to money, security, and the physical body carry the imprints of old pain.

When Chiron squares both Jupiter and Pluto simultaneously, forming the T-square, it is bringing that wound into direct contact with the expansion and the transformation. The Chiron square Pluto aspect is a powerful clash between deep-seated wounds and the drive for transformation. It pits vulnerability against the need for control, forcing a confrontation with buried traumas and the question of whether you will turn that pain into personal empowerment — or repeat the old pattern one more time.

Think of it as sustained pressure on an old emotional injury — the universe testing whether you can hold your ground or whether the wound will pull you back into familiar territory. This is, for this reason, an extraordinary window for therapy, inner work, and root-cause healing. The astrological pressure is not punishing you. It is pointing directly at what needs to be faced in order for the expansion Jupiter is offering to actually land somewhere real.

Taurus rules the body. The wound may be felt physically as well as emotionally. Pay attention to what your body is telling you during this T-square period. It knows things the mind has not yet admitted.

The Scorpio Release Point

Every T-square has a release point — the empty leg of the configuration, the place where the tension can discharge when it is worked consciously. For this T-square, that release point is 0 to 6 degrees of Scorpio.

Scorpio is the sign of depth, of transformation, of what lives beneath the surface. It is the sign most comfortable in the territory of buried things — buried truths, buried power, buried grief, buried desire. The Scorpio release point is asking something very specific: what have you kept hidden, even from yourself, that needs to come to the surface in order for the healing to be real?

If you have planets between 0 and 6 degrees of Scorpio, you are the release valve for this T-square. The tension of Jupiter opposing Pluto, both squaring Chiron, moves through you. That is not a burden — it is a role. You are being asked to go deep, to surface what is buried, and in doing so, to model for the collective what genuine transformation actually looks like.

And for all of us, regardless of Scorpio placements: the work of this T-square is Scorpionic in nature. Face what is hidden. Release what is rotting. Reclaim the power that has been tied up in the wound. That is the alchemy this configuration is making available.

Because Aquarius is the sign of the future, and these are all fixed signs doing this work — Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius — what we are healing and transforming in this period is not just for now. We are doing it for the future versions of ourselves. We are clearing the karmic and emotional ground on which the next chapter of our lives will be built.

Jupiter In Leo: Zodiac Signs Most Affected

While Jupiter in Leo will be felt across all rising signs and charts — and I will be covering every rising sign in depth in the full class — there are specific placements that will feel this transit most directly during this first chapter.

The fixed signs — Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius — are the primary axis of this T-square. If your Sun, Moon, rising, or other personal planets fall in these signs, particularly between 0 and 20 degrees, Jupiter in Leo is speaking directly to you. It is squaring Taurus and Scorpio, opposing Aquarius, and moving through Leo itself. The pressure and the opportunity are both heightened for the fixed signs.

For Sagittarius rising specifically — Jupiter rules your chart. Every Jupiter transit is personal for you regardless of which sign it falls in, because your chart ruler is the planet doing the moving. Jupiter in Leo activates your ninth house of higher learning, philosophy, and expansion. This is one of the most significant Jupiter transits of your adult life if you have Sagittarius rising.

The full sign-by-sign breakdown — which house Jupiter activates for your rising sign, what that means for your specific life themes, and how to work with each chapter of this 13-month transit — that is the heart of the class I am teaching on June 12th.

Preparing For Jupiter In Leo Masterclass

What I have given you today is the first chapter of a story that runs through July 2027. The blaze of summer 2026 — the Basket, the T-square, the opposition, the healing pressure of Chiron, the Scorpio release. This is the foundation.

But there are four more chapters after this one. The Saturn trine that turns the blaze into a blueprint. The warning signals of November. The karmic reckoning of the Jupiter retrograde conjunct the South Node — with Mars triggering the whole configuration through the winter and into spring. And the second wind of 2027, when Jupiter stations direct, conjuncts Regulus, and enters Virgo carrying everything it learned in Leo.
